NEWS & UPDATES

Celebrating over 70 years growing for our community!

The greenhouses are slowly filling up and we are starting to move a few things outside to make room for the next crops.  BUT, it is early April and Mother Nature does like to play tricks on us!  While it is still too early for most any plants, some people are getting the itch and wondering when we will be opening.  We are not quite ready to welcome you into the greenhouses yet as we are still in planting mode.  But within a couple weeks, we will have everything in tip top shape ready to go!  We don't currently have a set opening date yet, but it should be within the last week of April. Check back regularly for updates.

See you all soon!

Important Planting Information

It is important to remember when purchasing plants, many veggies need much warmer growing conditions.  Plants like tomatoes, peppers and especially cucumbers, melons and the like cannot grow outside in the early season.  Best to wait until mid-May to start bringing these home.  You can start with a few cool crop veggies like onions, cabbage, broccoli, peas, spinach, etc.  It is early for many flowers as well.  As we near Mother's Day, you can start thinking about your hanging baskets.  In the meantime, bring home some color with a few cold tolerant flowers like pansies, violas, dianthus or even snapdragons and petunias.  Buy what you can plant now, and come back again when the weather warms up a bit.
